Major responsibilities include : |
|
Peruse all agreements to be entered by AFB and ensure protection of AFB’s interest taking into account compliance with the rules, regulations and directives issued by the authorities as well as AFB’s prevailing internal policies and procedures. |
|
Liaise, monitor, support and attend to AFB’s panel of solicitors, authorities and outside parties on matters concerning legal issues and all legal proceedings taken by or against AFB. |
|
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer on all legal related matters. |
|

Requirements: |
|
Bachelor’s Degree in Law with a minimum of 8 years post qualification experience either in practice or in a financial institution or both. |
|
Conversant in Islamic banking & finance in product and documentation. |
|

INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
Executive, Systems and Database Administration
|
Major responsibilities include : |
|
Responsible for day to day operations and administration of HP-UX and Oracle Applications and Databases on UNIX platforms. |
|
Install database products e.g. oracle, oracle soa, associated fix packs and database upgrade. |
|
Design, create and maintain physical databases including performance monitoring and tuning, user id management, database availability, DB health checks, security patches, user id validation and implement database backup and recovery solution. |
|
To assist in optimize the systems resources allocating for the hardware and databases so as to achieve high availability. |
|
To verify the data integrity, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application LOGS, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups and data replication. |
|
To assist in standardize application installation and ensure compliance to the set procedures. |
|
Review all database related changes for technical assessment and impact. |
|
To coordinate and communicate with alert any impact or risk to hardware or software failures. |
|
To work with users and other departments on the applications/systems Implementation and release of database changes as submitted by the software vendor. |
|
Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining troubleshooting solutions.24 x 7 on-standby problem resolution for system and database support. |
|
Maintain operational database documentation. |
|

Requirements: |
|
Bachelors degree holder in Information Technology or its equivalent disciplines. |
|
Knowledge and experience on different flavours of Unix, Windows a must |
|
Have experience in installing database products e.g. Oracle, MS SQL, DB2 UDB, MySQL, associated fixpacks and database upgrade |
|
Have at least two (2) years working experience in Database Administration in Oracle (10g/11g) environments. |
|
Knowledge in the application deployment environment (Oracle Application Server 10g/11g, IBM Websphere) will be an advantage |
|
Interface and communicate with development teams to perform database design. |
|
Assist production troubleshooting 24/7 and Ability to manage multiple tasks. |
|
Familiar with the change management procedures. |
|
Able to work independently, self-motivated and resourceful. |
|
Good communication and interpersonal skills required in order to effectively interact with team leaders and technical staff. |

Executive, Data Center
|
Major responsibilities include : |
|
Responsible for the continuous and uninterrupted operations of the Data Center (DC). |
|
Manages and oversees day-to-day activities in DC, performs batch processing in accordance to operation manual. |
|
Monitors network services, core banking online services and servers’ availability. |
|
Provide daily backup processes and restoration according to backup schedule. |
|
Performs escalation process, administrative function and duties to ensure formal and efficient logging of all changes and operational problems. |
|

Requirements: |
|
Diploma in Information Technology or equivalent disciplines, preferably with a recognised IT Industry Certification . |
|
At least 3 years of well rounded application knowledge of Desktop and Data Centre Operations. |
|

CORPORATE AFFAIRS
Manager, Corporate Affairs
|
Major responsibilities include : |
|
Assist the Head of Department in formulating strategies, direction, brand planning and budgeting for advertising and promotion campaigns |
|
Assist in preparing proposals, visual presentations and annual reports for department’s projects |
|
Accountable for all aspects of marketing communications including; |
|
› corporate and product advertising and promotions, |
|
› media relations, spokespersons communications, |
|
› speech writing, public relations, |
|
› corporate social responsibility campaigns, |
|
› government relations, |
|
› employee relations, |
|
› crisis management and event management |
|
Website update and content management |
|
Manage company brochures, printed materials and giveaways |
|
Assist in liaising with all external agencies/suppliers |

Requirements: |
|
Degree holder in Corporate Communications / Public Relations & Branding or related discipline |
|
Minimum 5 years experience corporate communications / affairs. |
|
Creative, outgoing, initiative, positive attitude towards work and able to work in teams. |
|
Good interpersonal skills |
|
Excellent writing skills and able to communicate with confidence. |
